The Allen Roth Gazebo

When spring rolled around, my husband and I began looking for easy ways to update our backyard. We have a pretty nice size fenced in backyard. There is also a deck and a screen porch, but we wanted something out in the actual yard that gave us some shade for when we use our fire pit. My husband was interested in building a patio for the fire pit to sit which we did, but the yard gets a lot of sun. Sitting out on the patio was becoming unbearable due to the heat and sun shining on us.

I really wanted him to build a wood gazebo over the patio, but he just isn’t handy enough. So, we started looking online for different ideas. I came across a garden gazebo at one of the local home improvement stores. It was set up in the lawn and garden section. Although it was decorated nicely, and had patio furniture under the gazebo, it still seemed really cheap and flimsy. Although I really liked the idea of purchasing a gazebo that was easy to set up, I did not want it to get blown away the next time we had some bad weather.

So, we decided to look more deep into the garden gazebos online. Surprisingly, we found thousands of different shapes, sizes, and brands on the market. We began reading reviews and specifications and eventually decided on the Allen Roth Gazebo. We found a few retailers online and locally that sold the gazebo so we went to the nearest one to check it out and I’m so glad we did.

As soon as we walked into the store, we fell in love! The other gazebo I saw already set up had very scrawny rods holding it up, but the Allen Roth gazebo has massive columns that were incredibly detailed and heavy. I just knew once I saw this that it would not get blown away as long as it was secured down to our patio. The look of the gazebo was really amazing because the canopy had a peak to it, which gave it a truly custom and elegant look. Most gazebos have flat canopies or flimsy ones that don’t stand up how they are suppose to. This model was sturdy and the canopy material was thick and strong.

We purchased it immediately and set it up within two hours with some friend’s help. It came with the 16 stakes needed to secure the gazebo into the ground, too, which was very helpful. The 10 foot by 10 foot size is perfect because it fit right where our patio is. The frame is made out of black, powder coated steel and it is really strong and heavy so make sure you have friends to help set it up! The material of the canopy is strong and water repellent so it’s easy to sit under during a rainfall.

I’m very happy with the quality, construction and look of the Allen Roth Gazebo so I would definitely recommended it to anyone looking for a little extra cover outdoors. Although we used this on our patio, I have a friend who purchased it to use on their wood deck. It’s heavy but not too heavy to be placed on a deck instead of building a cover. This gazebo is perfect for just about anyone!
